Our Work

Creating a

community of customers

Customers build deeper relationships with the retailer through active participation and community engagement.

Inviting home-like spaces and an online experience make technology easy to use and fun.

Best Buy wanted to create shopping experiences that catered to particular client groups, providing opportunities to learn and engage with the products. ESI designed two community-oriented retail environments customized for key segments of their customer population.

Escape is a high-energy entertainment destination for early adopters and aficionados of gadgets, electronics and gaming supplies. Visitors can hang out at the store and try out all the latest toys with others. The boutique has a hip, industrial feel, with just a touch of nightclub.

Studio D is also a boutique retail experience featuring home and solutions-based merchandise. The store features classrooms, neighborhood galleries, an online experience and a community outreach program. Studio D is a participatory shopping experience where learning and shopping come together around specific interests and needs.

ESI’s design for ESCAPE and Studio D has helped build community and customer loyalty, foster learning and drive product sales for Best Buy.
